About Peerpoint
Peerpoint is Allen & Overy’s global platform for self-directed consultant lawyers who want to access the best work, clients, resources and bespoke support, whilst working on assignments with Allen & Overy or directly with clients as a legal consultant.
Typical assignments based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai are 6 months in length and there are flexible working arrangements available. Consultants would need to be able to commit to on-site client assignments in Abu Dhabi, so will ideally reside in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
Role Profile
We are currently seeking self-motivated and highly - skilled lawyers with top tier qualifications and experience to join our panel across the following disciplines :
- Construction and projects
- Oil & Gas
- Corporate and commercial
- Technology, media and telecommunications
- Banking and finance (to include project finance and Islamic finance)
- Regulatory
- Real Estate
- Litigation
- Project Development
- Corporate Trust & Agency
- Derivatives and structured finance
- Corporate M&A
Successful applicants will have:
- Gained at least four years' PQE in a top tier global law firm, ideally with some recent in-house legal experience
- Strong technical knowledge within their specialism
- A consultant mindset and be resilient, adaptable and able to work autonomously with minimal direction and supervision
- Be client focused with strong commercial acumen
- Be excited and committed to developing a career as a legal consultant and be motivated to operate at a high level
- A practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer

- In-house with one of our clients - this could mean working with a client either virtually or locally to support a project, regulatory reform or transactional work during periods of absence. Assignments can range from three to twelve months in duration and will vary in hours.
- In the Allen & Overy Abu Dhabi practice to support a specific client or the practice generally during peak volumes. We have consultants that step into the team on an ad hoc basis and those who work regularly to support the Practice.
