Job Overview
Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Manager within our Robotic Movement team. As a Manager, you will lead a team designing and building services and features that enable the fulfillment robotic solutions. Delivering reliable and high-performance services and features at scale requires technical leaders with extraordinary expertise and boundless creativity. About the team
The Robotic Movement team owns the core cloud and in-warehouse software system responsible for the robotic fleet management and equipment control of Amazon Robotics mobile robots in fulfillment and sortation centers. Our organization owns a suite of services which collectively orchestrate robotic work planning, scheduling, resource management, navigation, and execution for over 600,000 Amazon Robotics mobile robots. Our teams’ ongoing development aims to enable the rapid evolution of the core Amazon Robotics mobile robot platform to new use cases, and optimize the safety, efficiency, and operational experience of existing ones.

The Control and Coordination (CoCo) team in Robotic Movement builds modular software that directs movement of Amazon Robotics (AR) vehicles in the Amazon Fulfillment network. The team develops, maintains, and supports Tier-1 software services that translate high-level delivery and path plans into executable hardware commands to control and monitor drive units. These commands also manage virtual space reservations across the AR floor and coordinate interactions between the drive units and other equipment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of engineering team management experience
