About the role

We are looking to hire a skilled Technical Senior QA Engineer to join our Payments Engineering department in Copenhagen, reporting to the Engineering Team Lead. In this role, you will get the chance to refine development features and be responsible for the test aspects relating to the different deliveries through User Stories and help implement those in close cooperation with our other team members.

Furthermore, this role offers the opportunity to increase your focus on programming automation as we gain the skills and know-how in this area in the team. You will also take part in test analysis within other areas of QA in the team, apart from automation, such as performance and stability testing. Additionally, manual/functional test is also a frequently tool used either through the UI or through Postman.

What you will be doing

• Participate in the refinement of Features/Stories and breakdown and plan the work.
• In-depth analysis of requirements to determine the test approach.
• Document and execute functional tests.
• Define what tests should be automated and participate in implementing automation of manual test flows.
• Investigate, communicate, and report on bugs.
• Continuous improvement of our processes and tools.

What we are looking for

To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a demonstrated capability from an applicable role where you have been responsible for software testing, acquired knowledge in test automation and worked in close collaboration with developers and testers in an agile setup. You have an educational background within computer science, engineering, or other relevant areas - along with a minimum of 5 years of experience gained from the IT or Banking industry.

You have a focus on ensuring quality, while still being pragmatic about what can be accomplished within the given time and resources. You want to build the skills to help the team differentiate between what is suitable for automation and what isn’t. It would be beneficial if you have experience with working/testing with C# and APIs hosted in Azure. Additionally, it will be an asset if you have experience with using SQL, the ability to understand code when needed and a drive for learning more within development of automated tests.

As a person you have a positive approach to challenges and enjoy working both with fellow team members but can also drive tasks independently. We furthermore expect you to be a good communicator both verbally and in writing.

As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English, if you master other relevant languages, it will be an asset.
