About the job:

Within Saxo, the Security and Financial Crime Prevention (SFCP) department serves Saxo entities around the world and various external stakeholders on areas within Security, Information Protection and Financial Crime Prevention. We are an international team with highly competent and passionate colleagues across Denmark, India, and Netherlands.

Globally, the SFCP Privacy and Information Protection function is mandated to facilitate an environment where our data can be sufficiently protected across data ecosystems. We are continuously identifying risks and testing control effectiveness within the information protection domain to satisfy regulatory requirements and safeguard our client's data and Saxo. Being a 1st line risk function, we are responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of data protection requirements across the Group, performing operational controls, and owning data protection platforms. We perform a broad range of diversified tasks from assisting with Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) assessments, to performing 1st line risk and control assessments across the Group, to actual Data Protection solutions development and maintenance.

As our new Data Protection Specialist, your primary focus will be to work closely with the different stakeholders across the bank to implement and operate data protection solutions and processes. You will play a valuable role in building secure data protection solutions, processes, and controls within the Information Protection domain.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Maintain and further develop Data Protection platforms (Data Loss Prevention, Data Minimization, etc.)

  • Assess and document data protection requirements to support business strategic initiatives and risk mitigations across the Bank.

  • Drive close collaboration with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and key stakeholders in different business units.

  • Work with stakeholders to implement and embed data protection requirements into everyday business practices.

  • Work with the project teams to ensure data protection requirements are sufficiently incorporated in new products and services.

  • Drive execution and support of Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) assessments across the Group.

  • Build new data protection controls and test/assess effectiveness of existing controls.

  • Collaborate with colleagues on information protection initiatives and issues.

  • Support training and awareness initiatives to help the organisation to understand how to protect and handle data.

Your Profile:

  • Relevant master’s degree (e.g. in business, computer science, or law).

  • Good understanding and interest in the Information Protection and Privacy domain.

  • You have a business and analytical mindset, and you are passionate about privacy and data protection.

  • You are structured and a team player who proactively takes initiative and responsibility.

  • Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills.

  • The ability to successfully operate at different levels of an organization.

  • You like to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple initiatives at the same time.
