Functional Analyst

As a Functional Consultant specializing in software solutions, you will serve as a bridge between our clients and our development teams, ensuring that our software products meet the specific needs and requirements of our customers. Your role will involve understanding client business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, configuring software systems, and providing ongoing support and guidance throughout the implementation process. You will collaborate closely with clients, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, customized software solutions that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Engagement and Requirement Gathering:

    • Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, processes, and challenges.
    • Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather detailed requirements for software solutions.
  2. Solution Design and Documentation:

    • Translate client requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
    • Collaborate with development teams to design customized software solutions that meet client needs.
    • Create detailed documentation including functional designs, process flows, and system configurations.
  3. Configuration and Customization:

    • Configure software applications to align with client requirements, leveraging out-of-the-box features and customization options.
    • Develop and implement customizations as needed to address specific business needs.
    • Conduct testing to ensure that configured solutions meet quality standards and user expectations.
  4. User Training and Support:

    • Provide training and support to clients and end-users on how to effectively use software solutions.
    • Create user guides, training materials, and documentation to facilitate user adoption.
    • Address user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support throughout the software lifecycle.
  5. Project Management and Collaboration:

    • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful implementations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and project managers to deliver integrated software solutions.
    • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a consulting or client-facing role, preferably within the software industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and team members.
  • Project management experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with software development tools and technologies.
  • Experience with software implementation methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software solutions (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS).
  • Certification in relevant software platforms or methodologies is beneficial.
