ING is looking for an ALM professional in the Financial Risk Customer Behavioural Risk team within ING Risk Management.
The Team
In the Financial Risk organization, the Banking Risk Management department focuses on managing risks related to the ING Group banking activities in all business lines. Interest Rate risks, Funding & Liquidity risks, Treasury risks and Customer Behaviour risks are the main risk categories. The Customer Behavioural Risk team is responsible for:
Global functional responsibility for oversight of behavioural modelling in the Banking Books including replication towards the Global Treasury function.
Responsible for developing and execution of the global model lifecycle management requirements for customer behavioural risk models.
The Customer Behavioural Risk team is the owner of behavioural risk and replication models used for measuring and managing interest rate and liquidity risks in commercial books such as for mortgage prepayments and savings modelling and their replication. As such, the team is responsible for the functional steering and oversight of customer behaviour risk and replication models of ING locations worldwide.

Roles and responsibilities
The Financial Risk department sets and controls the financial risk strategy across the bank by safeguarding ING’s financial health. The department provides strategic guidance on financial risks (in trading and banking books and related to the ING balance sheet), safeguards regulatory compliance, and is the model owner for the banking and trading risk models. FR is also the global functional risk manager for Group Treasury activities.
Responsibilities:
Model lifecycle management of Assets and Liability customer behavioural risk and replication models;
Global functional steering of customer behavioural risk and replication models;
Maintain close relationships with the model stakeholders worldwide.
Performing periodic asset and liability reviews;
Execute financial risk analysis and assessments;
Advice Senior Management and Committees;
Enhance the ALM modelling landscape;
Review of Minimum Standards and Governance;
Monitoring alignment to Financial Risk and modelling standards;

We are looking for a colleague with a quantitative background, a completed academic education, preferably in economics, econometrics, or a quantitative specialization or comparable training with an excellent understanding of different types of market risks (interest rate, liquidity and FX risks).
You understand the complexities of a banking group with global operations and have a good understanding of recent regulatory changes and requirements.
You are curious, you are open to new developments and you know how to master your new material quickly. Moreover, you as a person are able to respond well to the wishes and needs of others as an expert advisor.
You are a pragmatic problem solver, who can support the model lifecycle management of Assets and Liability customer behavioural risk and replication models in a dynamic environment.
You are a team player who will add value to the Financial Risk organization within a dynamic environment. You will ensure that the activities you are responsible for will be performed to an exceptional standard.
You possess an excellent command of English, being able to demonstrate negotiation, presentation and writing skills.
