The FI sector team has a leading position in providing Financial Markets, Lending, Trade Finance, Payments & Capital Markets and advisory services to Financial Institutions. Clients consist of banks, insurance companies, pension funds, asset managers, trust offices, private equity and fintechs.
The FI sector team manages ING's FI relationships on a global basis. The dedicated FI sector team is crucial for ING as, amongst others, it manages reciprocity envelopes for ING and FI's client base is crucial for Originate to Distribute (OtD) activities.

Your Role
We are looking for an energetic, creative and delivery-oriented Business manager to support the FI sector. In this role you will be part of the Commercial Development & NFR team. This team is responsible for contributing towards the development of the sector by acting as a linking pin for other business units within and external to the sector. The team consists of 3 colleagues including your manager and our objective is to empower our FI Stakeholders to be a step ahead by being a trusted Business Partner.
As Business Manager your responsibilities include:
act as a sparring partner and soundboard to the Head of FI and MT, and proactively support in the performance of day-to-day activities to enable focus, prioritization, effective decision making and drive results
setting up a communication strategy plan as well as execution of the plan to improve people engagement within FI
the preparation of communications and presentations for various key stakeholders, including conferences, panels, townhalls
preparation and facilitation of MT meetings, employee gatherings and team offsites
manage and coordinate the dynamic planning process across the global business (DP)
represent FI in various value chain meetings and project boards within Wholesale Banking (WB)
act as linking pin for the FI sector towards other business units and sectors on WB wide initiatives
be responsible for the oversight of Non-Financial Risk controls and reporting
co-ordinate and participate in WB and FI wide projects
client portfolio management and performance analyses
suggesting and implementing improvements to processes and ways of working, acting as a linking pin with other departments
About you
You are an excellent communicator and creative in engaging varied audiences effectively. You know how to generate inspiring communiques, presentations and short and snappy briefings and reports in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
You embrace challenges in a fast changing and complex environment
You are comfortable with change and a self-starter
You are comfortable in build bridges, bring people together, encourage collaborating and decision making across the organizations to solve complex business challenges
You have great organizational skills, a structured way of working and attention to detail

Able to manage own work and set own priorities

Candidate Profile
Master’s degree will be considered a plus, 3-5 years of WB experience with good understanding of ING’s business lines, products and processes
Solid understanding of project / program management
Cultural- and organizational sensitivity
An entrepreneurial mind set
Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
