ING Private Cloud is looking for an Specialized Support Desk Engineer who will be part of the Specialized Service Support team which is responsible for managing and maintaining the day-to-day effective service support solutions.

The team

He will engage and establish constant contact with the different groups providing Incident Support within IPC in the mission of elevating our service support model.

Roles and responsibilities

The Specialized Support Desk Engineer Cloud & Infrastructure main responsibility is to assure that incidents are processed in a timely & effective way. The incidents will be assigned by the Incident Respondent depending of the area of expertise of each engineer and or with indication of what action should be taken for an immediate action to resolution.

Whether an escalation, process’ bottle neck, or incident backlog, requires other countermeasures, the Service Support Engineer will then engage in solving it with the collaboration of his team members and reach and engagement if necessary with the PO’s and or IPC 2nd Line Support.

We are looking for you, if you:

  • Have experience working on ITIL based Service Desk as Front Office agent and / or Back Office agent.

  • Have practical knowledge in ITIL 4 practices [Incident, Problem, Knowledge, Change].

  • Have demonstrable track record of the above, preferably 3+ years in similar environments,

  • Knowledge/experience with (generic) networking are also consider ed as a pre.

  • Being at least familiar with containers (docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) is also valuable.

  • Have practical knowledge of ticket management tools such as SNOW,

  • Have understanding of the internal workings of VMWare products preferably VMWare certified,

  • are proficient in SRE methodologies, and tooling like OTEL, Pipelines, Azure DevOps,

  • Good understanding of complex infrastructure (technical and organizational)

  • Proven Linux experience, other OS's are a pre (HPNSK,ZO/s, Windows)

  • Open minded, eager to learn, high in energy, team player

  • A 'take it on an make it happen'" mentality

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Information Technology)

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English

Good to have:

  • You understand CI/CD concepts & methodology and have experience with modern pipelines

  • Exposure to working in multi-Cloud environments.

  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such Ansible/Terraform

  • Basic understanding of batches and its components

  • ITIL certification is a plus.

  • Previous experience in service transformation programs.

  • Project management and collaboration capabilities.

  • Familiar with working in organizations that have a focus on Risk & Compliancy.

  • Knowledge of Runtime(Kubernetes/Openshift, Oracle Exadata, Container

  • Runtime(Docker)) is good to have.

  • Knowledge of storage (Block, File, Object (S3)) & Backup (Commvault).

  • Knowledge of Load balancers and Proxies (F5, NGINX)

  • Exposure to DevSecOps & SRE way of working

  • You are an excellent communicator and can cooperate with people at all levels

  • You have a keen eye for service improvements

  • Effective communication towards the internal organization and customers;

  • Understanding of technology, ideally with a background in infrastructure, cloud environments and managed services
