About the role

We are looking for a full-time or part time student to join our established EU carbon analyst team in Karlsruhe (Germany) as a Quantitative Junior Analyst.
The role can be either a full-time internship (40 hours/week) or part-time (16-20hours /week). Please note that the position requires on-site office attendance with some degree of flexibility for occasional remote working .As a junior analyst, you will help us shape our European carbon market analytics activities with a key focus on data management and visualization, industrial technology research, and fundamental market modelling. Overall, we are looking for students who have a strong interest in the energy transition and environmental markets, as well as a true passion for programming and working with data.


You will be responsible for

  • Developing and implementing analytics/data visualization tools on our platform
  • Supporting day-to-day work with data handling and programming
  • Researching abatement technologies in the EU industrial sectors

Qualifications

  • Programming experience is required – SQL/Python skills and neural
  • network knowledge are an advantage
  • Comfortable handling and visualizing large data sets
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, enjoys working in a team, takes initiatives
  • Interest in the energy transition and EU climate policy landscape
  • Strong communication and writing skills in English is a requirement
  • Bachelor or master’s in industrial engineering or similar
