About the Job:
The FP&A Senior Financial Analyst role is focused on providing essential data-driven insights to guide executive level decision-making, collaborating across departments, and having a direct impact on financial performance. This role will be responsible for performing financial analysis, financial modeling, insight generation, and process improvement. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, relishes working with big and complex data sets, and is passionate about financial analysis that provide actionable insights. This position requires working through complex issues and developing creative solutions while coordinating efforts across multi-functional teams and will lead projects as needed.
This role will be hybrid in Alpharetta, GA.
You'll be responsible:
Independently gathers, interprets, and analyzes information, makes assessments, and completes reconciliations.
Provides critical financial insights to the executive team by conducting in-depth analysis, scenario planning, and trend identification that guides strategic decision-making.
Gains a deep understanding of our financial systems and processes.
Analyses large sets of data and extracts valuable insights to present to leadership and business partners.
Supports month-end close activities, preparing and analyzing schedules and understands their impact on the overall financials.
Identifies problem areas when looking at information, seeing patterns, trends, or missing pieces, and identifies the similarities. Questions inconsistencies in financial data and makes recommendations to resolve.
Identifies improvements and enhancements, documenting and recommending appropriate course of action, and assists with implementing new processes.
Supports and provides guidance to other functional areas, helps with questions, and assists them with solutions.
Provides guidance and support to other analysts within the department.
Performs Ad hoc analysis as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
5+ Prior experience of substantial diverse financial analysis and accounting
BA/BS, Accounting/Finance
Advanced computer skills including Excel, Essbase, Hyperion
Understanding of financial system structures and data flows
Attention to detail, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify problem areas when reviewing data/information and question inconsistencies to determine proper resolution
Advanced organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Ability to complete financial analysis with minimal direction
