About the business:

Claims Record Unit (CRU) is a division of LexisNexis Risk Solutions, which is the industry leader of procuring Law Enforcement records nationwide. Insurance carriers use these records to aide in the adjudication of claims. We process 8 million requests annually and foster business relationships with agencies to streamline and improve processes.

About the team:

Our teams are located in Duluth, Ga. and the Philippines. CRU is the single point of contact for our customers and utilizes multiple resources and platforms across the U.S, Canada, and P.R.

About the job:

  • Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments with some level of guidance such as compiling and reviewing of records.

  • Demonstrates attention to detail and a heightened sense of urgency in obtaining these records.

  • Daily tasks included but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate with customers by contacting, following-up, coordinate delivery, track and process customer records

  • Public acquisition of records by researching, downloading, processing and validating information.

  • Verify overall accuracy with internal databases and maintain, correct and update accordingly.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Job entails processing incoming responses from police agencies.

  • Research and reviews request and police records information from websites, various internal and external databases.

  • Accurately fulfills, edits, and /or modifies request for police records to ensure compliance with company standards and completeness of order for product delivery.

  • Performs additional research as required to meet customer expectations and demonstrates ability to meet and / or exceed established departmental goals for productivity and accuracy.

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Requires some sedentary and physical labor.


  • HS Diploma required, some college in related filed preferred.

  • Must be available to every weekend and some holidays.

  • Experience in Criminal Justice, Insurance Claims, Call Center and /or police departments a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and work in production-based environment.

  • Windows and MS Office Experience (required typing 40 wpm, preferred 65 wpm)

  • Work well in in a team environment.  

  • Must be able to lift 30lbs.
