Title and Summary

Senior Managing Consultant, Advisors Business Development (Open to Remote US)

The purpose of the Advisors BD Senior Managing Consultant role is to:
•Creatively solve client problems by leveraging Mastercard’s suite of services, data, platforms, and expertise
•Drive Advisors sales opportunities by providing co-brand expertise to both Merchants and Issuers
•Identify sales opportunities advancing Mastercard’s Co-Brand solutions across a diverse set of Merchant and C-Brand Issuers
•Support new Mastercard log wins with both Co-brand Issuers and Merchants by demonstrating the differentiated strategic value of Mastercard Data & Services
•Contribute to the sales process by developing narratives, client presentations, and drafting Statements of Work
•Responsible for business development and ongoing account ownership for Data & Services across multiple segments with direct revenue, account ownership and sales responsibilities
•Work cooperatively with internal stakeholders, including Client Account Managers, to identify client business needs or gaps
•Lead both formal and informal pitches, from storyboarding to face-to-face presentations, delivering concise and persuasive materials tailored to the specific needs and level of the audience
•Construct agile sales teams to tailor Data & Services solutions to address identified client needs and gaps
•Drive coordination within Marketing, Solutions, Delivery and Product teams across Data & Services business lines to ensure best in class value delivery to clients
•Own pricing and margin decisions within approved ranges to successfully close deals
•Manage the workflows (Salesforce) to ensure deal management and flow and revenue recognition

ALL ABOUT YOU:
•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
•Prior experience in co-brand card space with financial institutions and/or merchants programs with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility
•Knowledge and experience with innovative approaches to using alternative data and analytic techniques to enhance co-brand card portfolios
•Experience in developing and fostering customer relationships as a trusted partner, experience with Financial Institutions and Merchants preferred
•Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to frame opportunities from a customer’s perspective
•Strong interpersonal, communication, and senior-level client facing skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, effectively influencing and building consensus
•Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills along with solid project management credentials
•Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and sell to a large client or cluster of clients
•Demonstrated ability to oversee project execution

Salary Range for Purchase NY: $161,000-$250,000

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
