Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our São Paulo office as part of a team in our Innovation & Learning Center (ILC). McKinsey's Innovation & Learning Center is a first-of-its-kind manufacturing hub, with members from a variety of industry backgrounds who come together to create an innovative, experiential learning facility. The ILC in São Paulo showcases the future of digital manufacturing and design (Industry 4.0) and provides end-to-end training on digital capabilities that drive bottom-line impact. 
The ILC offers a fully functioning production line that provides hands-on training across Industry 4.0 topics, integrating advanced digital solutions to support learning.

What You'll Do

You will work on organizing workshops to train clients and consultants on Operations topics (manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, digital, agile, service operations, etc.).
You will work on key issues and deep dive into industry 4.0, technology-enabled transformations and advanced analytics. In this role, you will go beyond the usual buzzwords and focus on where and how digital and analytics bring real added value to companies. You will run the processes and equipment. You will help to continuously improve current our ILC learning environment and curriculum, serving as a workshop facilitator for ILC shop floor content.
With your creative ideas and knowledge, you will help drive and create innovative solutions for clients. You will also assist the ILC operational team with trainings and preparation for workshops. Lastly, you will problem-solve with consultants, help create opportunities, and develop a strong pipeline for the deployment of ILC to deliver distinctive value to clients.

Qualifications

  • Student currently pursuing a degree in engineering or related area; expected to graduate no earlier than August 2025 
  • Outstanding academic performance and an aptitude for analytics 
  • Strong track record of demonstrating initiative-taking, creativity, and leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities 
  • Good problem-solving capabilities, communications and collaboration skills 
  • Interest in Industry 4.0, IoT and digital manufacturing 
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills; ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people 
  • Strong commitment to excellence and personal and professional growth 
  • Capable of driving an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project 
  • Comfortable with ambiguous, ever-changing situations 
  • Ability to grasp and communicate complex ideas clearly 
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese; fluency in Spanish is a plus
