The Opportunity
Experienced internal communications professional to conduct the design and delivery of effective and creative communications activities across the Group. Building relationships is key to this role and applicants will be used to utilizing interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to work effectively with a range of stakeholders to deliver impactful communication. Ultimately, the outcome will be a consistent, regular communication flow across the Group that aligns colleagues with the Group strategy, creates trust, and encourages openness and transparency.
Key Accountabilities:

Assist in designing effective internal communications and engagement strategy in support of new Group strategy and organisational design – working hand in hand with the People Team
Establish and build relationships with key stakeholders across business area – including ExCom, senior leadership, people managers and colleagues.
Focus on briefing and equipping each colleague group with the resources, knowledge and correct information appropriate to their level to help support teams and ensure a consistent flow
Activate an internal communications calendar of varying actions to engage linked to Group calendar and business area priorities//updates and create and develop communication campaign plans for initiatives and activities within the business area that impact colleagues.
Using audience insights and an evidence-based approach to ensure the strategy and activity is relevant to the target audience.
As part of the Group editorial process, run a focused content engagement programme working with content providers across the business area to create and develop new content around our priority areas.
Assist in the creation of a longer-term employee engagement and internal communications plan that can continue into business as usual activity beyond the timeframes of this project implementation phase.
Functional and Technical Skills:
Used to being hands-on, designing strategic communication plans, analysing stakeholder groups, creating content, measuring impact.
Effective interpersonal, management and communication skills
Communicates challenges and influences a variety of stakeholders effectively
Ability to write and present clear and concise professional communications to range of internal audiences at all levels
Good hands-on technical capability to deliver effective communications materials using appropriate tools across multiple channels – video, graphics, SharePoint, PowerPoint etc.
