Summary of role
NCC Group are looking for a Business Analyst to join our in-house line of business applications systems team. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate with both a functional and technical understanding of business systems.
Our Business Analyst will be heavily involved in our projects and could be responsible for everything from requirements gathering, configuration, testing, training, change management and post deployment support. As a Business Analyst, you will work alongside Key Business Stakeholders, Solution Architects and Technical Architects to design, develop, and deploy internal projects all while learning and growing your skill set.
Using their expertise, the successful candidate will quickly assimilate our current organisational situation, business processes and supporting applications in order to play a key role in the design and delivery of solutions. In doing so the successful candidate will be a key player in major projects with multiple departments and stakeholders playing an integral role in our systems transformation programme.
As part of the Global Technical Services team, you will ensure projects are delivered in line with the company’s development, change and release processes. We are looking for someone who also has a track record of proactively identifying opportunities where system improvements can be easily and quickly be implemented to enhance the overall application experience and effectiveness in order to maximise our return on investment.
Role Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering sessions relating to systems, processes, data and reporting, proactively drawing out requirements from stakeholders and translating these into requirements definition documentation, including use cases, user stories and functional specifications.
Oversea the configuration, management, and maintenance of custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, data validation rules, triggers, custom workflows, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within applications.
Identifies and resolves problems which may impact projects by monitoring progress and project status. Escalates important issues to senior project leadership ensuring that decisions can be made promptly.
Lead in the various stages of testing, e.g. QA, UAT, DiL.
Play a prominent role in the transition from the project phase to business as usual, ensuring a seamless shift in support and change management.
Participate in initiatives to innovate and evangelise new and improved processes across the business with the goal of delivering group wide effective business automation - you must be recognized as a go-to expert on the tools; able to articulate the benefits clearly and concisely.
Good understanding of complete change management and release process via continuous integration models.
Reach out to ensure formal and informal relationships, and very pro-active communications are developed and maintained, both within the department and between all business stakeholders, to promote an exceptional understanding of goals, timescales, requirements and benefits as well as collaboration and feedback.
Work with offshore teams as required.
Travel both inside and outside of the UK may be required.

Skills and Qualifications
Business Analyst Experience
Business Analyst Certifications
Demonstrable experience of covering the complete project life-cycle, in a structured environment (both agile and waterfall).
Experience delivering successful application system implementations related to Salesforce or Workday.
In depth understanding of the underlying processes that business systems support in a production environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Word tools including Word, Excel and Visio.
Desirable
Post-graduate qualification in any of the following:
Business information systems.
Business management.
Computing and systems development.
Computer science.
Previous project experience implementing migrated systems to Cloud based Scheduling tools.
Previous project experience with interfaces between multiple systems.
Experience working with both on premise and SaaS solutions.
Previous experience of working across multi-state locations and time zones, within a Company that has experience of mergers and acquisitions.
Experience in the technology sector, even better in the professional services world is desirable.
