Job Description:
Purpose
Manage a team of 4 FTE’s (2 x analysts and 2 x associates), focusing on efficient execution of new transactions. Report to the Head of Infrastructure (London) and coordinate with the local head of portfolio management. The role is also an entry point to deal origination.
Work in close collaboration with NIBC Infrastructure team in the Netherlands to grow and enhance NIBC’s presence within infrastructure finance market, in asset classes such as Digital Infrastructure (Data Centres and Broadband Networks) and Energy Transition Infrastructure (EV charging and Battery Storage). Geographies of focus for the London Infrastructure team are UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and France.
Key Accountabilities
o Overseeing UK and Southern Europe new deal execution processes, through management of junior execution FTEs and coordinating workload with the broader UK and NL infrastructure team;
o Take responsibility for the quality of transaction proposals and other internal work streams:
o Build internal and external relationships with key stakeholders;
o Manage the due diligence process. This may involve leading particular work-streams and will require liaison with advisors and sponsors;
o Assess and negotiate complex legal documentation;
o Prepare internal documents such as project summaries, credit applications and other ad hoc analysis, as required, in a timely and efficient manner;
o Analysis of financial models, as part of the due diligence process, to ensure that debt terms, covenants, and the due diligence findings are correctly reflected;
o Work with various different internal systems as part of the deal execution process. These include: Know-Your-Customer checks, internal rating tools, Risk Adjusted Return models etc;
o Liaison with internal colleagues relevant to deal execution such as (Credit) Risk, Treasury, Transaction (Credit) Committee, Legal, Operations;

Knowledge and Skills
o Min 8 years relevant experience with a finance, business management, economics or engineering based degree
o Experience in managing small teams
o Preferably relevant experience in the Infrastructure arena
o Knowledge of financial and project documentation structures
o Strong credit analysis skills
o Capable of working well within a multi-disciplined team
o Ability to take responsibility for several projects simultaneously
o Excellent communicator

o Good negotiation skills
o Good time management skills
o High standards of professional conduct
o High standards of written and verbal skills
o Spanish or Italian as a second language would be an advantage
