Summary
The Senior Project Manager is a highly skilled and experienced individual who plays a vital role in the success of Workiva. They are drivers of solution onboarding implementations, and their expertise and leadership are essential for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible and accountable for all aspects of consulting projects, from monitoring and reporting progress to managing forecasts, risks, and issues. They also manage internal and partner initiatives focused on enablement, process improvement, and delivery quality assurance.
What You’ll do
Manage solution onboarding projects and partner co-engagement/oversight deliveries, ensuring their success from start to finish.
Partner with Sales, Pre-Sales, and other partner across Workiva to understand and align on the complexities of client implementations, ensuring that the needs of both Workiva and the client are met.
Manage schedules, budgets, timelines, and project scope to ensure goal and contract alignment. Forecast project needs and resources well in advance.
Communicate and manage project scope, risks, issues, schedule, strategic milestones, and deliverables effectively to customers and internal stakeholders.
Own project governance and documentation including presentations, risk registers, project status reports, sign-offs, and comprehensive implementation plans.
Maintain constant contact with the customer to ensure the project is on track, communicating progress consistently. Works closely with project stakeholders and Workiva leadership to report and address risks and issues.
Manage customer escalations and serve as a representative to ensure their issues are resolved to the fullest extent.
Provide project management enablement and mentoring on customer service best practices to new hires, partners, and internal customers. Lead development and delivery of internal training.
Act as a Key contributor to PMO knowledge base development. Identify gaps and opportunities and provide actionable insights to enhance processes, outcomes, and relationships.
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
6 years of project management experience the in SaaS or Technology Consulting industry required with a Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual in Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
4 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 2 years of experience
Fluent or professional-level of Portuguese
Prince2, PMP, or other PM certification
Skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong project management and time management skills are a must. Ability to be self-sufficient and manage project management operations independently, concurring projects and initiatives.
Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
Ability to become an expert in the Workiva implementation methodology. Capable of leading/managing high-complexity projects & providing methodology guidance to Workiva & Partner implementation teams.
Has wide-ranging experiences; resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways with little to no supervision and coaches others on how to do so.
Strategic in approach: understands and addresses inter-dependencies and real issue
Ability to translate organizational vision into a project vision.
Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally
Ability to influence decisions that need to be made to make the project successful.
Ability to recognize resistance and overcome it. Thinking of opportunities instead of barriers.
Able to build and maintain relationships and influence internal and external executives with little to no support and coach/mentor others on how to do so.

Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.
